Hampton Inn & Suites South Lake Tahoe

This hotel is remodeled. It looks very new. Room is clean and updated. Breakfast is okay. I wish they have oatmeal and more fruit. Fruit run out all the time. That I like about this hotel is free changing EV, very Per-friendly. This is the first time I have seen so many dogs in the hotel. No one complains no dog allowed in the lobby even the dog barked. People are chatting and enjoying the time with friends and families in the lobby with their dog. The lobby is quite big with a bar. Coffee and hot water provides at all time. I love it. I will definitely come back here.

We booked 2 nights there from 12.29.2023 -12.31.2023. The hotel is refurnished so looks pretty new, however the fan is still the very old type, which made so loud noise in the first night we stayed and surprisingly there is no way to turn the fan off completely even after turning off AC, because the fan was still operating to refresh air for the room. The noise was loud about every 20mins and last a few minutes, as a result I was not able to sleep the whole night, even after front desk sending a pair of earplugs, which made me believe that the noise issue is not new there and the solution they are providing has been earplugs, which sadly did not work for me. The other day front desk helped switched room for us (with quite arrogance attitude, yeah people can feel your attitude for sure) however we found the new room fan was still very noisy (close to 80 dB) when turning on, being afraid of not being able to sleep again we cancelled the second night there and drove back home to get better rest. The hotel refunded us the second night, however they did not do anything for the first night, which is quite disappointing for us. The hotel rate for that days was like $400+/ night, and all we really want is a quiet place to rest the night, however we didn’t get.

We are a family of four from Sunnyvale CA. We are incredibly impressed with this hotel and all the staff we interacted with - especially the front desk manager. The staff here really care about guests and take great care ensuring guests are happy. This hotel is also at a great location from which to see the South Lake Tahoe activities both in summer and winter. Highly recommend this hotel !

The hotel was immaculate with modern fixtures and amenities. My guests loved that it offered free coffee and hot chocolate 24 hours. The coffee was surprisingly amazing when you drink it you will sat "wow this coffee is really good" like all my guests did. I think it's the quality of the water at Lake Tahoe must be very clean. The staff were super caring and attentive from the conceirg to the breakfast staff. We always look for hotels that are super clean like this one. Hotel was in the heart of Heavenly Village, everything accessible, you don't have to drive down a long slope like the resorts we stayed at last time. I felt like this hotel was a small resort. The hotel room (double bed) was spacious and the sheets were pristine white. I am a Hilton Diamond member so I got a great deal on this room, my room was $102 per night. We stayed 4 days and were able to do alot thanks to the central location of this hotel. I loved the standing shower very lux bathroom. Next time I return to Lake Tahoe I am definitely choosing this one again!

Decent hotel. Close to Heavenly village and water sports on the lake. New and clean. Decent breakfast. Staff isn’t very great. During checkin I was told “I can only give you two bottles of water”. Thanks, I only spent $220 on the room. I called to find out what the breakfast timings are and got an irritated front desk person who said “Front desk, I’ve got a long line here, what do you want?”.
